I saw Tawsa raise his hands when he began the prayer, when he bowed, and when he raised his head from bowing. One of his companions told me that he reported this from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ.
Its isnad is daif, because of the anonymity of the man among the companions of Tawus who reported it to Hakam bin Utayba. However, this anonymity does not weaken the hadith entirely, for this took place in the gathering of Tawus, even though it is not mentioned that he heard the narration of his companion directly. Its meaning has already been given at greater length, with two sahih isnads, through Zuhri from Salim, 4540, 4674.
