I was walking with Ibn Umar along one of the roads of Medina when we came upon some young men who had set up a chicken as a target and were shooting at it, with every missed shot counting against them. He became angry and said, "Who did this?"They scattered, and Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed anyone who mutilates an animal."
