The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة سمعت محارب بن دثار سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ من جر ثوبه من مخيلة لم ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة
Its isnad is sahih. It is an abridgment of 4884. We have already indicated the numbers of the hadiths of Ibn Umar on this subject at 4567. Al-makhilah, with the mim vocalized as "fatha" and the kha vocalized as "kasra," means vanity/arrogance.
