Awsat reported,
Abu Bakr 
addressed us and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in this very place last year." Then Abu Bakr wept, and said, "Ask Allah for well-being, for after certainty no one has ever been given anything better than well-being. Hold fast to truthfulness, for it goes hand in hand with righteousness, and both are in Paradise. Beware of lying, for it goes hand in hand with wickedness, and both are in the Fire. Do not envy one another, do not hate one another, do not cut ties with one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. Be brothers, as Allah the Exalted has commanded you."

Sahihحدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن يزيد بن خمير عن سليم بن عامر
عن أوسط قال
خطبنا أبو بكر رضي الله عنه فقال قام رسول الله ﷺ مقامي هذا عام الأول وبكى أبو بكر فقال أبو بكر سلوا الله المعافاة أو قال العافية فلم يؤت أحد قط بعد اليقين أفضل من العافية أو المعافاة عليكم بالصدق فإنه مع البر وهما في الجنة وإياكم والكذب فإنه مع الفجور وهما في النار ولا تحاسدوا ولا تباغضوا ولا تقاطعوا ولا تدابروا وكونوا إخوانا كما أمركم الله تعالى
Its isnad is sahih. Khumayr, with the dotted khaa vowelled with damma, Awsat, is Ibn Ismail bin Awsat Bajali. The Hafiz mentioned in al-Isabah and al-Tahdhib that he was a follower, relying on what was narrated from him that he arrived a year after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. But it will come at number 17 that he reported from Abu Bakr that he heard him when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died, and so on. This indicates that he was in Madinah at the time of the Messenger of Allah's death, so it is quite possible that he had seen him before his death ﷺ.
