The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade qazaa. Ubaydullah explained that qazaa means shaving parts of the head while leaving other parts unshaven.
حدثنا محمد بن بشر عن عبيد الله عن عمر بن نافع عن نافع
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن القزع قال عبيد الله والقزع الترقيع في الرأس

Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of 4473, but the tafsir of qazaa here is stated to be from the words of Ubaydullah, like one of the narrations of Muslim that we referred to there.
