The Prophet ﷺ used to deliver two sermons on Friday with a brief sitting between them.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
كان النبي ﷺ يخطب يوم الجمعة مرتين بينهما جلسة
Its chain of transmission is sahih. The authors of the six books narrated something similar in meaning to it, though longer, as in al-Muntaqa 1614. See also what has already passed in the Musnad of Ibn Abbas, 2322.
