The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the lizard, and he said, "I do not eat it, but I do not forbid it either."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن أيوب عن نافع عن ابن عمر وعبيد الله عن نافع
سئل النبي ﷺ عن الضب فقال لست بآكله ولا محرمه
Its isnad is sahih. As for his statement, "and Ubaydullah," its meaning is that Mamar reported it from Ayub and from Ubaydullah bin Umar bin Hafs from Asim, both of them from Nafi from Ibn Umar. Its meaning has already occurred by way of Ayub at 4497, and by way of Ubaydullah at 4619, and by way of Abdullah bin Dinar from Ibn Umar at 4562 and 4573. Here, in H and M, "Abdullah" appears in place of "Ubaydullah," which is an error we have corrected from K.
