The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood over the well on the day of Badr and called out, "So-and-so, so-and-so, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?" Then he said, "By Allah, they can hear my words right now."Yahya said that Ayesha responded, "May Allah forgive Abu Abdul-Rahman. He was mistaken. What the Messenger of Allah ﷺ actually said was, 'By Allah, they now know that what I used to tell them was the truth.' Allah Most High says, 'You cannot make the dead hear' [Naml 27:80], and 'You are not one to make those in the graves hear' [Fatir 35:22]."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا محمد يعني ابن عمرو عن يحيى بن عبد الرحمن بن حاطب أنه حدثهم
وقف رسول الله ﷺ على القليب يوم بدر فقال يا فلان يا فلان هل وجدتم ما وعد ربكم حقا أما والله إنهم الآن ليسمعون كلامي قال يحيى فقالت عائشة غفر الله لأبي عبد الرحمن إنه وهل إنما قال رسول الله ﷺ والله إنهم ليعلمون الآن أن الذي كنت أقول لهم حقا وإن الله تعالى يقول {إنك لا تسمع الموتى} {وما أنت بمسمع من في القبور}
