Regarding the vision of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning Abu Bakr and Umar, he said, "I saw the people gathered, and Abu Bakr stood up and drew one or two buckets of water, and there was weakness in his drawing, and Allah will forgive him. Then Umar took over, and the bucket turned into a large one. I have never seen a remarkable man among the people work as skillfully as he did, until the people had watered their camels and settled them at their resting place."

عن رؤيا رسول الله ﷺ في أبي بكر وعمر قال رأيت الناس قد اجتمعوا فقام أبو بكر فنزع ذنوبا أو ذنوبين وفي نزعه ضعف والله يغفر له ثم نزع عمر فاستحالت غربا فما رأيت عبقريا من الناس يفري فريه حتى ضرب الناس بعطن
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Tirmidhi related it, 251-252, through the route of Abu Asim from Ibn Jurayj, and said, "A hadith that is sahih and gharib from the hadith of Ibn Umar." His commentator said, "The two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) also related it."Al-dhanub, with fatha on the dhal, means the large bucket. "Then it turned into a gharb." Ibn Athir said, "Al-gharb, with kasra on the ra, is the large bucket made from the hide of a bull. If the ra is given a fatha, it refers to the water flowing between the well and the trough." This is a figurative expression, and its meaning is that when Umar took hold of the bucket to draw water, it grew large in his hand, because conquests were more numerous in his time than in the time of Abu Bakr. The meaning of "turned" is that it changed from smallness to greatness."ابقري (extraordinary)." Ibn Athir said, "The abqari of a people is their master, their great one, their strong one. The origin of the word abqari, as it is said, is that Abqar was a village inhabited by jinn, according to their claims, so whenever they saw something exceptional and remarkable that was difficult and intricate to make, or something great in itself, they attributed it to that place and said, abqari. Then the usage broadened until it was applied to any great master.""Yafri fariyah (he cuts remarkably)." He also said, "That is, he does his work and accomplishes his task." It is also transmitted as fariyah, with sukun on the ra and without doubling. It is reported from Khalil that he rejected the doubled form and considered whoever used it to be mistaken. The origin of al-fari is cutting.Al-atan is the resting place of camels around water.
