The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one of you but his seat is shown to him morning and evening. If he is among the people of Paradise, then from the people of Paradise, and if he is among the people of the Fire, then from the people of the Fire. He is told, 'This is your place, until Allah raises you to it.'"
حدثنا يحيى عن عبيد الله أخبرني نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ ما منكم أحد إلا يعرض عليه مقعده بالغداة والعشي إن كان من أهل الجنة فمن أهل الجنة وإن كان من أهل النار فمن أهل النار يقال هذا مقعدك حتى تبعث إليه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari narrated it through several routes from Nafi 3:193, 6:329, 11:315–316. Muslim narrated it 2:357 through Malik from Nafi, and through Zuhri from Salim, both from Ibn Umar, in a similar wording.
