I asked Saeed bin Musayab about nabidh, and he said, "I heard Abdullah bin Umar say, standing by the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that the delegation of Abdul-Qays came with al-Ashaj and asked the Prophet of Allah ﷺ about drinks. He said, 'Do not drink from a green jar, nor from a gourd, nor from a hollowed stump.'"I said to him, "Abu Muhammad, what about a vessel coated with pitch?" thinking he had forgotten it.He replied, "I did not hear it mentioned that day from Abdullah bin Umar, though he used to dislike it."

سألت سعيد بن المسيب عن النبيذ فقال سمعت عبد الله بن عمر يقول عند منبر رسول الله ﷺ هذا قدم وفد عبد القيس مع الأشج فسألوا نبي الله ﷺ عن الشراب فقال لا تشربوا في حنتمة ولا في دباء ولا نقير فقلت له يا أبا محمد والمزفت فظننت أنه نسي فقال لم أسمعه يومئذ من عبد الله بن عمر وقد كان يكرهه
Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Khaliq is Ibn Salama Shaybani, and he is trustworthy, Ahmad, Ibn Main, and others confirmed his trustworthiness. The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 2:129, through Yazid bin Harun from Abdul-Khaliq, and Nasai narrated it, 2:328, in abridged form, through Shubah from Abdul-Khaliq as well. Abdul-Khaliq has no narration in the six books other than this hadith, found in Muslim and Nasai, as noted in his biography in al-Tahdhib.The story of the delegation of Abdul-Qays has already appeared through the narration of Ibn Abbas as well, 3406, and see also 4465 and 4574.
