The Prophet ﷺ said regarding the verse "the Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds" [Mutaffifin 83:6], "A person will stand in his sweat up to the middle of his ears."
حدثنا يحيى عن عبيد الله حدثني نافع
عن النبي ﷺ {يوم يقوم الناس لرب العالمين} يقوم في رشحه إلى أنصاف أذنيه
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Kathir mentioned it in the Tafsir 9:138, from Malik, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, then said, "Bukhari narrated it from the hadith of Malik and Abdullah bin Awn, both of them from Nafi." Muslim also narrated it through both routes. Likewise, Ayub bin Yahya, Salih bin Kaysan, Abdullah and Ubaydullah the two sons of Umar, and Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated it, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar. Here in ح it says "Abdullah," but the correct reading is "Ubaydullah," which we have corrected from ك, and from what will come at 4697. Even though Abdullah and Ubaydullah both narrated it from Nafi, as Ibn Kathir said, the wording of the chains in this passage is entirely through Ubaydullah.
