Abdullah bin Umar reported,

Umar acquired a piece of land at Khaybar, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ to seek his counsel about it. He said, "I have acquired a piece of land at Khaybar, and I have never acquired any property more precious to me than it. What do you advise me to do with it?"The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you wish, you may preserve the land itself and give its produce as charity."So Umar gave it as charity, stipulating that the land itself was not to be sold, gifted, or inherited. He directed its proceeds to the poor, to relatives, for freeing slaves, in the path of Allah تبارك وتعالى, for travelers, and for guests. There is no blame on whoever administers it if he eats from it in a reasonable manner or feeds a friend, provided he does not accumulate wealth from it.
