The Prophet ﷺ used to take the pledge on hearing and obeying, then he would say, "to the best of your ability."On one occasion he said that one of us would be prompted with the words, "to the best of your ability."

كان النبي ﷺ يبايع على السمع والطاعة ثم يقول فيما استطعت وقال مرة فيلقن أحدنا فيما استطعت
