The Prophet ﷺ designated, and Mura said the appointed place for, the people of Madinah at Dhul Hulayfah, the people of Sham at al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd at Qarn.He said, "It was mentioned to me, though I did not hear it directly, that the people of Yemen enter ihram from Yalamlam."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ وقت وقال مرة مهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة وأهل الشام من الجحفة وأهل نجد من قرن قال وذكر لي ولم أسمعه ويهل أهل اليمن من يلملم
Its isnad is sahih, and it is an abridgment of 4455. The one who says, "It was mentioned to me, but I did not hear it," is Ibn Umar, meaning that he did not hear the mihal (place of ihram) of the people of Yemen from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but rather heard it from some of the companions on his authority.
