The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the witr prayer while riding his camel.

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr is Ibn Umar bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab, a Madinan and trustworthy narrator. Lalikai and Khalili both affirmed his trustworthiness, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat. He has no narration in the six books except this hadith, found in the two Sahihs, Tirmidhi, Nasai, and Ibn Majah, as stated in al-Tahdhib.It appears in the Muwatta according to the narration of Yahya bin Yahya, volume 1, page 145, at length with a full story, and in the Muwatta of Muhammad bin Hasan, who transmitted it from Malik, page 148, in brief as it is here.
