Zayd bin Khalid reported,

He asked Uthman bin Affan , "What is your view about a man who has intercourse with his wife but does not ejaculate?"Uthman replied, "He performs ablution as he does for prayer and washes his private parts." Uthman added, "I heard this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."So I asked Ali bin Abu Talib , Zubayr bin Awwam, Talha bin Ubaydullah, and Ubayy bin Kaab about this, and they all instructed him to do the same.

أنه سأل عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه قلت أرأيت إذا جامع امرأته ولم يمن فقال عثمان يتوضأ كما يتوضأ للصلاة ويغسل ذكره وقال عثمان رضي الله عنه سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ فسألت عن ذلك علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه والزبير بن العوام وطلحة بن عبيد الله وأبي بن كعب فأمروه بذلك
