Abdullah and Ashath disagreed over a sale. One said it was for ten, and the other said it was for twenty.One of them said, "Let us appoint a man to judge between us."The other replied, "I accept you as judge between me and yourself."He said, "I will rule by what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled. When the buyer and seller disagree and there is no evidence, the statement of the seller is taken, or they may cancel the sale."

اختلف عبد الله والأشعث فقال ذا بعشرة وقال ذا بعشرين قال اجعل بيني وبينك رجلا قال أنت بيني وبين نفسك قال أقضي بما قضى به رسول الله ﷺ إذا اختلف البيعان ولم تكن بينة فالقول قول البائع أو يترادان البيع
