We used to speak during the prayer. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and greeted him with salaam, but he did not return my greeting. I was overcome with worry, both about what had passed and what was happening.Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah brings about for His Prophet whatever He wills."Shuba said, "I think he said, 'whatever He wills.'""And among what He has now decreed for His Prophet ﷺ is that you are not to speak during the prayer."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن عاصم بن بهدلة عن أبي وائل يحدث
كنا نتكلم في الصلاة فأتيت رسول الله ﷺ فسلمت عليه فلم يرد علي فأخذني ما قدم وما حدث فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن الله يحدث لنبيه ما شاء قال شعبة وأحسبه قد قال مما شاء وإن مما أحدث لنبيه ﷺ أن لا تكلموا في الصلاة
