I stood with Abdullah bin Masud before the Jamrah. When he stood before it, he said, "By Him besides whom there is no god, this is the very spot where the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed stood on the day he cast the pebbles."Then Abdullah bin Masud threw seven pebbles at it, saying the takbir with each pebble he cast, and then departed.
