Abdullah threw seven pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba from the bottom of the valley, saying takbir with each pebble.Someone said to him, "Some people throw them from above it."He replied, "By the One besides whom there is no god, this is the standing place of the one to whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed."

رمى عبد الله جمرة العقبة من بطن الوادي بسبع حصيات يكبر مع كل حصاة فقيل له إن ناسا يرمونها من فوقها فقال هذا والذي لا إله غيره مقام الذي أنزلت عليه سورة البقرة
