Abdullah bin Masud reported,

Ubayy Shuba traced this back to the Prophet, but I will not trace it back for you. Concerning the saying of Allah , "And whoever intends therein a deviation by wrongdoing, We will make him taste a painful punishment" [Hajj 22:25], he said, "If a man were to intend deviation in it while he was in Adan Abyan, Allah would make him taste a painful punishment."

أبي شعبة رفعه وأنا لا أرفعه لك في قول الله عز وجل {ومن يرد فيه بإلحاد بظلم نذقه من عذاب أليم} قال لو أن رجلا هم فيه بإلحاد وهو بعدن أبين لأذاقه الله عذابا أليما
