A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Prophet of Allah, I took hold of a woman in the orchard and did everything with her short of intercourse. I kissed her and held her close, and I did nothing beyond that. So do with me whatever you wish."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said nothing to him, and the man walked away.Umar remarked, "Allah has concealed his sin for him. If only he had concealed it himself!"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ followed him with his eyes and said, "Bring him back to me."They brought him back, and the Prophet recited to him, "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and in the early hours of the night. Indeed, good deeds drive away evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember." [Hud 11:114]Muaz bin Jabal asked, "Is this for him alone, or for all people, Prophet of Allah?"He replied, "Rather, it is for all people."
