The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hands are of three kinds. The hand of Allah is the highest, the hand of the giver comes next, and the hand of the asker is the lowest."
حدثنا عبد الله قال قرأت على أبي حدثكم القاسم بن مالك قال أخبرنا الهجري عن أبي الأحوص
قال رسول الله ﷺ الأيدي ثلاثة فيد الله العليا ويد المعطي التي تليها ويد السائل السفلى
Its isnad is daif, due to the weakness of Hijri.Hakim narrated it in Mustadrak 1:408 at length, via Shubah and Jareer, from Ibrahim Hijri. It is also in Majma al-Zawaid 3:97, where it is attributed to Ahmad and Abu Yaala, and he said, "Its narrators are trustworthy."It is also in Targheeb wal-Tarheeb 2:10, where he said, "Abu Yaala narrated it, and most of its narrators are considered trustworthy. Hakim also narrated it and graded its isnad sahih." That is what he said, but I did not find that Hakim graded its isnad sahih. Rather, after the hadith of Malik bin Nadlah, he said, "Its corroborating witness is the well-known, preserved hadith from Abdullah bin Masud," and then he mentioned it.The text of the hadith is sahih. Hakim also narrated it through the hadith of Malik bin Nadlah, and said, "Sahih isnad, though the two of them did not include it." It is also in Targheeb, where he said, "Abu Dawud and Ibn Hibban narrated it in his Sahih."
