The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man keeps lying until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."He also said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Hold fast to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man keeps speaking the truth and striving for truthfulness until he is recorded with Allah as truthful."Abu Muawiya said, "And a man continues to speak the truth and strive for truthfulness."
حدثنا وكيع وأبو معاوية قالا حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي وائل
قال رسول الله ﷺ إياكم والكذب فإن الكذب يهدي إلى الفجور والفجور يهدي إلى النار وإن الرجل ليكذب حتى يكتب عند الله كذابا وقال قال النبي ﷺ عليكم بالصدق فإن الصدق يهدي إلى البر وإن البر يهدي إلى الجنة وإنه يعني الرجل ليصدق ويتحرى الصدق حتى يكتب عند الله صديقا قال أبو معاوية وما يزال الرجل يصدق ويتحرى الصدق
