Anas bin Malik attended the funeral of a man from the Ansar. The people openly sought forgiveness for the deceased, and Anas did not object to that.Hushaym reported that Khalid said in his version of the hadith, "And they brought him into the grave from the direction of its foot."On another occasion, Hushaym said that a man from the Ansar died in Basra, and Anas bin Malik attended his funeral, and the people openly sought forgiveness for him.
حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا خالد
أن أنس بن مالك شهد جنازة رجل من الأنصار قال فأظهروا الاستغفار فلم ينكر ذلك أنس قال هشيم قال خالد في حديثه وأدخلوه من قبل رجل القبر وقال هشيم مرة إن رجلا من الأنصار مات بالبصرة فشهده أنس بن مالك فأظهروا له الاستغفار

Khalid is Ibn Hazza.This hadith is in Majma al-Zawaid 3:43–44, where it says, Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.This hadith and the three that follow it are not from the Musnad of Ibn Masud, but rather from the Musnad of Anas. I do not know why they were mentioned in this place.
