We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the cave when a snake came out at us. We rushed at it, but it outpaced us and slipped into a hole. The Prophet ﷺ said, "It has been spared your harm just as you have been spared its harm."Wazad Amash added in the narration, saying, "We used to receive it from his mouth while it was still fresh."
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of 4063. His saying, "We used to receive it from him," refers to the surah "By those [winds] sent forth in gusts" [Mursalat 77:1], as in the previous narrations and the narration that follows this one.
