Uthman reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution thoroughly as Allah 
commanded him, the prescribed prayers serve as expiation for whatever occurs between them."

The isnad is sahih. Humran, with damma on the ha and sukun on the mim, bin Aban, was a trustworthy successor (tabii), and was one of the eminent scholars known for prestige, sound judgment, and nobility. In manuscript ح it reads "Imran bin Aban," which is an error, and we corrected it based on manuscripts ك and هـ.
