Lying is not proper, neither in seriousness nor in jest. Affan once said, "Neither in seriousness." Nor should a man promise a child something and then fail to fulfill it.He said, Muhammad told us, "A man continues to speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as truthful, and a man continues to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة قال أبو إسحاق أخبرنا عن أبي الأحوص قال كان
إن الكذب لا يصلح منه جد ولا هزل وقال عفان مرة جد ولا يعد الرجل صبيا ثم لا ينجز له قال وإن محمدا قال لنا لا يزال الرجل يصدق حتى يكتب عند الله صديقا ولا يزال الرجل يكذب حتى يكتب عند الله كذابا
