The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the last third of the night remains, Allah descends to the lowest heaven. Then He opens the gates of heaven and extends His hand, saying, 'Is there anyone asking, that he may be granted his request?' He continues in this way until the dawn breaks."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا كان ثلث الليل الباقي يهبط إلى السماء الدنيا ثم يفتح أبواب السماء ثم يبسط يده فيقول هل من سائل يعطى سؤله ولا يزال كذلك حتى يسطع الفجر
