The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of trivial sins, for they accumulate upon a man until they destroy him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then gave a parable for them, like a group of people who camped in a barren land. When it came time to prepare their meal, one man would go off and bring back a stick, and another would bring back a stick, until they had gathered a large heap. Then they kindled a fire and cooked whatever they threw into it.
حدثنا سليمان بن داود حدثنا عمران عن قتادة عن عبد ربه عن أبي عياض
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إياكم ومحقرات الذنوب فإنهن يجتمعن على الرجل حتى يهلكنه وإن رسول الله ﷺ ضرب لهن مثلا كمثل قوم نزلوا أرض فلاة فحضر صنيع القوم فجعل الرجل ينطلق فيجيء بالعود والرجل يجيء بالعود حتى جمعوا سوادا فأججوا نارا وأنضجوا ما قذفوا فيها
