He approached the Black Stone and said, "I know full well that you are only a stone, unable to bring harm or benefit. Had I not seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissing you, I would not kiss you."Then he kissed it.

أتى الحجر فقال إني لأعلم أنك حجر لا تضر ولا تنفع ولولا أني رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يقبلك ما قبلتك قال ثم قبله
