The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one with even a grain's weight of faith in his heart will enter the Fire, and no one with even a grain's weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise."A man said, "Messenger of Allah, I love that my garment be freshly washed, my hair well-oiled, and the strap of my sandal new." He went on listing such things until he mentioned even the strap of his whip. "Is that part of arrogance, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "No, that is beauty. Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance is rejecting the truth and looking down on people."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يدخل النار من كان في قلبه مثقال حبة من إيمان ولا يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال حبة من كبر فقال رجل يا رسول الله إني ليعجبني أن يكون ثوبي غسيلا ورأسي دهينا وشراك نعلي جديدا وذكر أشياء حتى ذكر علاقة سوطه أفمن الكبر ذاك يا رسول الله قال لا ذاك الجمال إن الله جميل يحب الجمال ولكن الكبر من سفه الحق وازدرى الناس
