Abdullah bin Masud reported,

A man had never done any good deed except affirming the oneness of Allah. When death approached him, he said to his family, "When I die, take me and burn me until I am reduced to charcoal, then grind me up and scatter me over the sea on a windy day."They did so with him.Then he was in the grasp of Allah, and Allah said to him, "What led you to do what you did?"He replied, "Fear of You."So Allah forgave him.

عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه

أن رجلا لم يعمل من الخير شيئا قط إلا التوحيد فلما حضرته الوفاة قال لأهله إذا أنا مت فخذوني واحرقوني حتى تدعوني حممة ثم اطحنوني ثم اذروني في البحر في يوم راح قال ففعلوا به ذلك قال فإذا هو في قبضة الله قال فقال الله عز وجل له ما حملك على ما صنعت قال مخافتك قال فغفر الله له
