The Messenger of Allah ﷺ liked to make supplication three times and to seek forgiveness three times.
حدثنا أبو سعيد حدثنا إسرائيل حدثنا أبو إسحاق عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد
كان رسول الله ﷺ يعجبه أن يدعو ثلاثا ويستغفر ثلاثا
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of the one before it.
