We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about monkeys and pigs, whether they were descendants of the Jews.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Allah has never cursed a people and transformed them in such a way that they had offspring before He destroyed them. Rather, these creatures already existed. When Allah became angry with the Jews, He transformed them and made them resemble these animals."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ويونس قالا حدثنا داود عن محمد بن زيد عن أبي الأعين العبدي عن أبي الأحوص الجشمي
سألنا رسول الله ﷺ عن القردة والخنازير أهي من نسل اليهود فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن الله لم يلعن قوما قط فمسخهم فكان لهم نسل حين يهلكهم ولكن هذا خلق كان فلما غضب الله على اليهود مسخهم فجعلهم مثلهم
Its chain is daif, like the one before it. Ibn Kathir cited it in his tafsir 3:187-188 from Musnad Tayalisi, from Dawud bin Abu Furat, and said, "Ahmad also related it through the hadith of Dawud bin Abu Furat, with the same chain." Suyuti also attributed it in Durr Manthur 2:295 to Ibn Abu Hatim, Abu Shaykh, and Ibn Mardawayh. It will also come again at 3768, and see 3700.
