The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They kept us from the middle prayer until the sun set. May Allah fill their bellies and their graves with fire."
حدثنا يزيد أنبأنا محمد بن طلحة عن زبيد عن مرة
قال رسول الله ﷺ حبسونا عن صلاة الوسطى حتى غابت الشمس ملأ الله بطونهم وقبورهم نارا
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Talha bin Musarrif al-Yami is trustworthy, deemed reliable by Ahmad, Ajli, and others, and whoever has criticized him has done so without justification. Bukhari mentions him in al-Kabir 1/1/122. Zayd is Ibn Harith al-Yami. Murrah is Ibn Shurahil.Muslim narrated this hadith at 174 through the route of Muhammad bin Talha. Tirmidhi, Nasai, and Ibn Majah also narrated it, as noted in al-Dhakhair 4822. See also what came previously at 2745.
