Abdullah bin Masud reported,

Two reports, one of them his own words and the other from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Abdullah said, "The believer sees his sins as though he were at the foot of a mountain, fearing that it might collapse upon him, while the sinner sees his sins as a fly that lands on his nose. He waves at it like this, and it flies away."He also said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah rejoices more at the repentance of one of you than a man who set out into a desolate, deadly wasteland with his riding camel carrying his food, his drink, his provisions, and everything he needed. He lost the camel and went searching for it until death was almost upon him and still he had not found it. So he said, 'Let me go back to the place where I lost it and die there.' He returned to that spot, and sleep overcame him. When he awoke, there was his camel standing beside his head, carrying his food, his drink, his provisions, and everything he needed."
