Abu Hakam reported,

I asked Ibn Umar about earthenware jars, and he related to us from Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of earthenware jars, gourds, and vessels coated with pitch.

سألت ابن عمر عن الجر فحدثنا عن عمر رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن الجر وعن الدباء وعن المزفت
