The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes an oath by which he seizes the property of a Muslim will meet Allah while He is angry with him." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited to us its confirmation from the Book of Allah , "Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them" [Al Imran 3:77].
حدثنا سفيان عن جامع عن أبي وائل
عن النبي ﷺ قال من حلف على يمين يقتطع بها مال مسلم لقي الله وهو عليه غضبان وقرأ علينا رسول الله ﷺ مصداقه من كتاب الله عز وجل {إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله وأيمانهم ثمنا قليلا أولئك لا خلاق لهم في الآخرة ولا يكلمهم الله}
Its isnad is sahih. Jami is Ibn Abu Rashid Sayrafi, and he is trustworthy, firmly reliable, and upright. Bukhari mentioned him in Kabir 2/1/240. The hadith will come at greater length as no. 3079, by way of Amash, from Abu Waail Shaqiq bin Salama, and by that route Bukhari and Muslim narrated it, as in the tafsir of Ibn Kathir 2:172-173.
