The Quraysh said, "Muhammad and his companions have been weakened by the fever of Yathrib." When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived for the year in which he performed Umrah, he told his companions, "Walk briskly around the House so that the polytheists may see your strength." When they walked briskly, the Quraysh said, "These people have not been weakened."
حدثنا روح حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة عن أيوب عن سعيد بن جبير
أن قريشا قالت إن محمدا وأصحابه قد وهنتهم حمى يثرب فلما قدم رسول الله ﷺ لعامه الذي اعتمر فيه قال لأصحابه ارملوا بالبيت ليرى المشركون قوتكم فلما رملوا قالت قريش ما وهنتهم
Its isnad is sahih, and it is an abridgment of 2686. See also the two preceding hadiths.
