The Prophet of Allah ﷺ prayed at Dhul Hulayfah, then he marked the sacrificial animal on the right side of its hump, wiped away the blood from it, and hung two sandals around its neck as a sign of its consecration. Then he mounted his she-camel, and when it rose with him onto the open plain of Bayda, he entered the state of ihram. He entered ihram around the time of Zuhr.Abu Dawud said, for hajj.

أن نبي الله ﷺ صلى بذي الحليفة ثم أشعر الهدي جانب السنام الأيمن ثم أماط عنه الدم وقلده نعلين ثم ركب ناقته فلما استوت به على البيداء أحرم قال فأحرم عند الظهر قال أبو داود بالحج
