A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have not been with my wife since the time the palm trees were pollinated, or were left unwatered."He explained that the pollination of the palms, or their being left unwatered, refers to when they are pollinated and then left without irrigation for forty days after pollination.The man continued, "I found a man with my wife." Her husband was pale-yellow in complexion, lean, with straight hair, while the man he accused her with was dark-skinned, thick-limbed, with tightly curled hair.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah, make it clear. Allah, make it clear."Then he carried out the mutual oath of condemnation between them, and she gave birth to a child resembling the man she had been accused with.

أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ فقال ما لي عهد بأهلي منذ عفار النخل أو إغفاره قال وعفار النخل أو إغفارها أنها كانت تؤبر ثم تعفر أو تغفر أربعين يوما لا تسقى بعد الإبار قال فوجدت رجلا مع امرأتي وكان زوجها مصفرا حمشا سبط الشعر والذي رميت به رجل خدل إلى السواد جعد قطط فقال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم بين اللهم بين ثم لاعن بينهما فجاءت بولد يشبه الذي رميت به
Its isnad is sahih. It is a repetition of 3360. "Afar al-nakhl" or "aqaraha," and "tufir" or "tuqir." In each pair, the first form is spelled with fa, and the second with qaf. In H, it appears as "ighfaraha" and "tughfir," spelled with ghayn (dotted) and fa, but this is a corrupted reading with no sense to it. There is no place here for ghayn or fa, and the correct reading is from K, which is supported by the statement of Ibn Athir in 3:109, "it is also transmitted with qaf," but that is an error.
