The Prophet ﷺ used to deliver his sermons leaning against a palm trunk. When the pulpit was made and he moved to it, the trunk began to moan. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to it and embraced it, and it became quiet. He said, "Had I not embraced it, it would have continued moaning until the Day of Resurrection."

أن النبي ﷺ كان يخطب إلى جذع فلما صنع المنبر فتحول إليه حن الجذع فأتاه رسول الله ﷺ فاحتضنه فسكن وقال لو لم أحتضنه لحن إلى يوم القيامة
