Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, narrating from his Lord , "Indeed, Allah has recorded good deeds and bad deeds." Then he explained this, "Whoever intends a good deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Him as a complete good deed. If he does it, Allah records it as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, up to many times more. And whoever intends a bad deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Him as a complete good deed. If he does it, Allah records it as a single bad deed."

عن ابن عباس قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ فيما يروي عن ربه عز وجل قال إن الله عز وجل كتب الحسنات والسيئات ثم بين ذلك فمن هم بحسنة فلم يعملها كتبها الله له عنده حسنة كاملة فإن عملها كتبت له عشر حسنات إلى سبع مائة ضعف إلى أضعاف كثيرة وإن هو هم بسيئة فلم يعملها كتبها الله له عنده حسنة كاملة فإن عملها كتبت له سيئة واحدة
