Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

I spent the night at the home of my aunt Maymunah. I said to myself, "I will surely watch how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prays."A pillow was placed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he lay down along its length, and his family also went to sleep. Then he rose at midnight, or just before, or just after, and began wiping the sleep from his face. He recited the last ten verses of Surah Al Imran until he finished them. Then he stood and went to a waterskin that was hanging up, took it, and performed ablution. Then he stood to pray.So I got up and did just as he had done, then came and stood beside him. He placed his hand on my head, then took hold of my ear and began twisting it. Then he prayed two rakahs, then two, then two, then two, then two, then two, and then he prayed witr.

عن ابن عباس قال

بت عند خالتي ميمونة فقلت لأنظرن إلى صلاة رسول الله ﷺ فطرحت لرسول الله ﷺ وسادة فنام في طولها ونام أهله ثم قام نصف الليل أو قبله أو بعده فجعل يمسح النوم عن نفسه ثم قرأ الآيات العشر الأواخر من آل عمران حتى ختم ثم قام فأتى شنا معلقا فأخذ فتوضأ ثم قام يصلي فقمت فصنعت مثل ما صنع ثم جئت فقمت إلى جنبه فوضع يده على رأسي ثم أخذ بأذني فجعل يفتلها ثم صلى ركعتين ثم ركعتين ثم ركعتين ثم ركعتين ثم ركعتين ثم ركعتين ثم أوتر
