The Prophet ﷺ prayed facing Bayt al-Maqdis. Abdul-Samad and those with him said, "For sixteen months, then the qiblah was changed afterward."Abdul-Samad said, "Then the qiblah was made toward the House."Muawiya, meaning Ibn Amr, said, "Then the qiblah was changed afterward."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن زائدة وعبد الصمد قال حدثنا زائدة عن سماك عن عكرمة
صلى النبي ﷺ نحو بيت المقدس قال عبد الصمد ومن معه ستة عشر شهرا ثم حولت القبلة بعد قال عبد الصمد ثم جعلت القبلة نحو البيت وقال معاوية يعني ابن عمرو ثم حولت القبلة بعد
Its chain is sahih, and it is a repetition of 3270. In the narration of Abdul-Samad [toward the House], what appears in the two originals is "toward Bayt al-Maqdis"! This is a clear error, and I am certain it is a mistake made by the copyists. That is why I have written it as [the House] and pointed out what appeared in the two originals.
