A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have not been intimate with my wife since the time of ifar al-nakhl."He asked, "What is ifar al-nakhl?"The man explained, "When the date palms are pollinated, they are left without watering for forty days after pollination. I found a man with my wife."Her husband was sallow-complexioned, slim, with straight hair, while the man he accused was dark-skinned, with thickly curled hair and a sturdy build.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, make the matter clear."Then he had them perform the lian oath against each other. She later gave birth to a boy resembling the man whom her husband had accused.
حدثنا روح بن عبادة حدثنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني يحيى بن سعيد عن القاسم بن محمد
أن رجلا جاء إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله ما لي عهد بأهلي منذ عفار النخل قال وعفار النخل أنها إذا كانت تؤبر تعفر أربعين يوما لا تسقى بعد الإبار فوجدت مع امرأتي رجلا وكان زوجها مصفرا حمشا سبط الشعر والذي رميت به خدل إلى السواد جعد قطط فقال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم بين ثم لاعن بينهما فجاءت برجل يشبه الذي رميت به
