Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

I came along with Fadl, riding on a donkey, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was leading the people in prayer. Khayyat said, meaning Hammad, this took place in an open stretch of land. We passed in front of him while still mounted on the donkey until we had gone past most of the row, yet he neither forbade us nor turned us back.

حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب وحماد قال أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب المعنى عن شعبة

عن ابن عباس قال

جئت أنا والفضل على حمار ورسول الله ﷺ يصلي بالناس قال الخياط يعني حمادا في فضاء من الأرض فمررنا بين يديه ونحن عليه حتى جاوزنا عامة الصف فما نهانا ولا ردنا
