Amr bin Hurayth reported,

Abu Bakr al-Siddiq recovered from an illness and came out to the people. He offered an apology for something and said, "We intended nothing but good."Then he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that the Dajjal will emerge from a land in the east called Khurasan. He will be followed by people whose faces resemble hammered shields."

أن أبا بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه أفاق من مرضة له فخرج إلى الناس فاعتذر بشيء وقال ما أردنا إلا الخير ثم قال حدثنا رسول الله ﷺ أن الدجال يخرج من أرض بالمشرق يقال لها خراسان يتبعه أقوام كأن وجوههم المجان المطرقة
